Welcome to 2017 and I wish all a prosperous year ahead.
It has been a while since the last blog post so I thought it probably best to put the last few months into perspective before forging ahead with what we have been doing. After five and a half years of living in the United Arab Emirates, my family and I moved to Australia on the 12th January 2017 to take up permanent residency and are happy to now call Perth home. I am ever grateful to Australia for providing great opportunities for people like me who wish to contribute to the Australian economy and drive innovation and technology forward. Moving countries is no easy feat, those of you who have done it will know exactly what I am talking about. The last few months have been nothing but planning and execution on that front. After moving, the last three weeks have been spent trying to get settled as quickly as possible, which is proving to be quite difficult when you have a delinquent container of worldly belongings that just doesn't seem like it wants to get back to you.
Western Australia is not only a great place to live but it is also positioning as an innovation and technology hub which is evident from a quick google search. If you are interested, have a look at https://www.innovation.wa.gov.au/
This was one of the draw cards for me when I was considering cities to potentially call home after being granted residency. The Western Australian government have made their commitment clear to innovative companies through their support programs and assistance.
What we have been up to with TOKN....
Our software is currently used in Dubai and we have been talking to another company in the gulf region. We have done a successful trial at a customer in Australia and in so doing, have proven that our software solves some key problems that they were experiencing.
We are now at the stage where we are trying to build a strong team both operationally and advisory and we have found a few key individuals from the industry who have been kind enough to show interest and to then give us some of their precious time to share their insight as well as to give us some really good advice. We are building the persona of TOKN and working to get the message of what TOKN is, across with more clarity. We are also looking to build some strong partnerships with a few key companies that will allow us the leverage and support we need as we continue to make headway on our quest.
Follow us as we continue on our journey and one of my goals for 2017 is to do more frequent blog posts.
